Dear Diary,
Does anyone else realise that the CMPB is at.. DEPOT ROAD?! Okay, I'm back from the "checkup". I guess you guys are DYING to hear about what happened right? Well, I'm about to burst your bubbles. Why? Because nothing happened. Never take a bus from Pasir Ris to Bukit Merah Interchange. Well, continuing from where I left off.. I shutted down my comp, took my stuff and proceeded down to the; 12/21/358 busstop. Took a bus 21 bus to the interchange. Walked to the MRT station, saying hi to Charlene on the way. (HI CHARLENE.) Tapped in, sat in the MRT. Zzzzzz... THEN, we're finally on our way. My destination @ that time was RedHill. Which was.. kinda far, so me, being the gamer I am, whipped out my PSP and started playing on Tales of The World; RM (If you have a PSP, you should try it.) When the MRT arrived @ City Hall, I swear, my heart felt like it was about to explode. Maybe its because I was too.. scared? Like I said, I hate checkups. HATE.. CHECK.. UPSS.. I tried to calm myself down by thinking of a happy thought. (Rainbows and unicorns!) Doesn't work though. "RedHill." Said the MRT-lady-person-talking-thingie. I stood up, feeling as if my arse weighs a ton. Dragged my feet towards the door. And when the MRT doors open, it felt like I was walking to my doom. The corridors of the MRT station were empty, the only few there was me, and my pride. I courageously walked towards the stairs that appeared to move (Escalator.) And rode it to the bottom floor. There, I saw many unfamiliar faces. It was then, that I knew, that I was gonna die. So I took a risk, and stepped through the gates of the MRT station. (The EZ-link thingie.) I was alone.. so.. very.. alone.. I couldn't take it anymore, I wanted out. So I ran (walked actually.) towards a tower with many lights on it. (The traffic light.) I knew, if I was at someplace with alot of lights, someone could actually spot me. There, I waited.. and waited.. for something to guide me. Something to help me conquer this fear. Then, suddenly, a four-wheeled mechanism stopped infront of me. (A cab.) I was shocked, scared.. but the person who was "commanding" (Driving.) the mechanism said; "Where would you like to go?" I was saved. I told the commander (Taxi driver.) I wanted to go to SALVATION. (CMPB.) He nodded his head as if he was acknowledging me. Then we were off, off to salvation. After afew minutes or so, the mechanism stopped. And the commander said; "We're here.". I was confused, this wasn't salvation, it looked like a gigantic fortress with guards all around it. (CPMB has army personnel guarding the entrances.) "That would be 6 dollars and 60 cents." said the commander. I was confused even more. What the hell is this.. "d.ollar..s" he speaks of? I started to panic, what if he went mad and wanted to rape me? I searched around frantically looking for a "dollar.". Fortunately, I managed to find a carrier (Wallet.) filled with what seemed like.. plastic paper? (Dollar notes.) I took a piece, and gave it to the commander. "Thank you." he said, and handed me something that looks very much similar to poker chips. (Coins.) I took his "gift" and left the mechanism. I was tricked.. and now, I'm left by the roadside to starve. Having no other choice, I proceeded into the fortress to seek shelter. The moment I stepped into the fortress, it's guards pointed out in another direction, as if he wanted me to actually go there. I agreed, and walked towards where he pointed. Then, I was stopped, stopped by a large arc shaped machine. (A metal detector.) Next to the machine, there stood another guard, he asked me to step through it. I believe it was some kind of ritual (Checking for any suspicious items that you forgot to declare.) to accept new comers into their fortress. Without taking any risks, I hurried through the arc. And the guard, smiled and pointed me to another direction. I walked, and walked.. through the scorching heat. Through the rough terrain. You can never imagine the pain, the heat.. the loneliness.. I walked.. Through the fog and sand, I managed to see a sign. I hurried. As I approached the sign, I could roughly read out what it said; "CMPB." YES! I have arrived to SALVATION. Okay, enough. I hope you guys enjoyed my 5 mins of extreme lameness. Don't worry, whatever I said above was definitely overreacted. But if you manage to translate that into 'real-life' speak, all of it is actually true. Including the part when the taxi dropped me off? I was completely confused. It didn't look like CMPB. And I was afraid that I was lost. Luckily, I managed to find it. Thanks to the helpful signs. Oh that reminds me, I'm not done with my story. The resolution. I shall cut the crap and get straight to the point; I didn't have to do the medical checkup after all. It appears that I only went there just to apply for deferment. Actually, when I think about it now, I'm furious. But back there and then, I didn't feel a thing. I wasn't angry, I wasn't relieved. Nothing. So that means I just went down ALL the way to CMPB, just to do afew 'clicks' on the mouse. Well, after that, I took a bus 5 straight to Pasir Ris. ANOTHER THING, DO NOT RIDE ON A BUS FROM BUKIT MERAH TO PASIR RIS. You won't be able to feel your butt after which. Signing off, 'niets. |
