Final Fantasy: Dissidia.

Dear diary,
I didn't go to school today, I blame it partially on the flu I had two days ago. Yes, I'm still suffering from it two days later. I, yet again, blame it on the weather. Its been raining like crap these past few days, hasn't it? Well, anyways, I managed to find some free time whenever I'm bored and such. Like.. playing Bejeweled on Facebook. (I still can't beat Joshua's highscore, dammit.) Or going to forums where they sell PS3 games and such. I managed to find some, and I'm gonna get Bioshock this Saturday for only $20 dollars. DAMN, thats cheap.
Anyway, I'm sure you guys heard of my horrible loss of my PSP. Good news, its back to normal! Many thanks to Merv for unbricking it for me. Not only did he unbrick it, he managed to upgrade the firmware to.. 5.50 B? Or something, I can't remember what firmware it was. But still, thanks alot dood.
Since my wonderful PSP is back, I decided to look for more games. Since I haven't done so in like.. ages. So.. I was looking and looking and stuff, and guess what I found:

Since my wonderful PSP is back, I decided to look for more games. Since I haven't done so in like.. ages. So.. I was looking and looking and stuff, and guess what I found:
Heres my review of it.Yes yes, the long awaited: Final Fantasy Dissidia. I've been having a blast playing this game. Seems like it got Merv interested too. The graphics are awesome, the gameplay is great, and the music is derived from previous Final Fantasy BGM's. From "One Winged Angel", FF7 to "FFX Battle Theme" from FFX. If you are a massive fan of the FF series, then this is a MUST get. The game's plot is all about the war between Cosmos & Chaos. Chaos are basically bad guys, who are: Sephiroth, Exdeath, etc. Many of who are in previous FF games. Cosmos are vice-versa, who are: Cloud, Squall, etc. The game has many options for you to choose from, ranging from Story mode, where you can play as your selected favourite character, Arcade mode, where you can just whack the sh*t out of your hatred character & finally Quick Battle mode, which is a 5 character battle. You win one, you go into another battle straight away. I've been playing it for 3 days now, and I gotta say, I'm loving it. However, this game isn't perfect just yet. Let me just state some of the problems I found out while playing it.
1st: The story mode is kinda slow. Basically, its sort of a "Tactics" like gameplay. Your main character is like a chess piece. You have to move your chess piece to whichever square you want. Of course, there will be rare items and such. There also will be enemy chess pieces which you can or must destroy to get to the next level. Since FFD is sort of a 1 v 1 type of game. You can only versus one enemy and a time. Which to me, is kinda slow. Oh and, I've not factored in the loading times as well. You can imagine the slowness. ^^
2nd: The in-game camera can be a real bitch @ times. Some maps are really large and spacious, whereas some maps and small and confined. Trust me, you'll choose large maps most of the time because if you managed to get a small map, then having a battle can be a real pain. The camera is really far from your character, basically because it needs a wide area to shoot your "kapow and kabish" (fighting skills) and such. Due to that, your character might run infront of an obstacle, leaving your camera shooting nothing but a wall. You can't really see or know whats going on when that happens.
3rd: The loading times are not bad, but only not bad. Loading times can be a pain too. For example, if you wanna change something in your 'Options' menu you have to wait for it to load the loading page. And if you want to LEAVE the Options menu, you have to wait for it to load too. It seems like everything about this game is loading and such. To me, I don't mind. But if you're a really impatient person, then I guess I have to fear for your PSP's safety.
Other than that, FFD is an awesome game. I give it a 9/10 rating. Don't hesitate, just buy it.
