H1N1. Seriously, isn't a matter to joke about.
Remember you see someone sneezing / coughing / having a sorethroat, we'd usually say: "OMIGOSH, H1N1?!" But of course, we always mean it jokingly right? Well I guess, when your actually down with H1N1, it probably isn't a joke anymore.. Huh? I got up this morning, thinking that I could go to school, but unfortunately, I felt really cold. And I was having a major headache. So I thought to myself: 'This is bad..' Anyways, I got up, hurting from the pounding of my headache. Today really wasn't my day, my back hurt like crap, I'm had a major fever and I was feeling woozy as hell. So I decided to visit the doctor, actually I was kinda afraid that the doctor might say: 'I'm afraid we have to suspect you to have H1N1.' But I thought to myself.. NAHH. Me? H1N1? Yeah right.. So anyways, I went into the clinic, confidently. Signed my name, and waited for the doctor. After like.. 30mins? A "nurse" called me into a room to check my temperature and pulse. So I went in, and she did the temperature thingie. You know, the one that plugs into your ear? Yeah, my temperature was like.. 38.7C. And she was like.. "OMFG. WTF." Well, she didn't really say that, but you could tell from her face. So after that, I went into the doctor's office for consultation. She asked me afew questions, and I answered. She then checked my throat.. and my chest with that listening thing that doctors use. (Don't know the name.) She then whispered "Oh dear." for me, that was really bad. She then said this phrase to me, which totally freaked me out: "Well, we have no choice but to suspect that you have H1N1. Because you have symptoms that are linked to it. Do you have any siblings at home who are 1 year and below? Or maybe 65 years and above?". "I see, so, what you should do, is to stay at home for 7 days. Don't go out, don't come in contact with the stated people and no clubbing ar?" I chuckled. "So that means, you're able to return to school on.. *counts* next Friday. I'll give you the MC and prescriptions." I was really stunned. My mouth was practically gaping open when I exited the doctor's office. Luckily, there was a mask to cover it up. To think, that I have 'suspected' H1N1.. THAT ISN'T COOL. Bah, at least I don't have to go to school for the next 7 days. Well, thats life I guess. 'niets. |
